Training Volume & Fatigue Calculator
This calculator helps you evaluate how much effective training work you’re doing in a session. Add your sets (weight × reps) and get volume, intensity-based “effective work,” and a fatigue rating you can actually use.
If you don’t know your 1RM, leave it blank. The calculator will still score volume and fatigue. If you do know it, you’ll get a better intensity estimate.

How This Calculator Works
Raw training volume is the total weight moved (sets × reps × weight). That’s useful, but it doesn’t tell the full story. A heavier set at higher intensity is typically more fatiguing and more “effective” for strength than the same volume done light.
This tool combines volume with optional intensity (if you enter your 1RM) to estimate effective work and fatigue. Use it to compare sessions, avoid runaway fatigue, and build a training week that you can actually recover from.
